This list is prepared under the auspices of the Training and Qualification Committee of the FIT. The information was originally an English version of Les formations en traduction et interprétation. Essai de recensement mondial, compiled by Monique Caminade (for countries in Europe) and Anthony Pym (for countries outside Europe), published in Paris by the Société Française des Traducteurs in 1995.

LEIT stands for LISA Education Initiative Taskforce, a commission that was formed in March 1998 and consists of representatives from universities in the U.S. and Europe.
