HELPDESKS ON TRANSLATION AND LANGUAGE

Some institutions maintain lists of general interest questions (generally called FAQs, Frequently Asked Questions) about translation, interpretation, language and computing from different points of view.

Language Technology Group (LTG) Helpdesk

The LTG maintains a list of FAQs on language and software. They provide assistance for new questions (although reactions are not immediate). In their own words: "the goal of the Language Software Helpdesk is to aid users in the selection and use of natural language tools for practical tasks".

Linguistic help on line – European Council

This page aims at providing help on linguistic questions about any of the official EU languages: "This page sets out the addresses of the Council language divisions which may be contacted should you have a remark to make or require information."
